Meet Grays Animal Care
Our Family
Modern Day Snow White
Sara
Sara became a cat lady at a very young age. As an adult, she has had both cats and dogs. Animals seek her out, even when she and Elizabeth are on their Vespa. Her other passions are gardening, hiking, cooking, reading, and keeping up with her Spanish.
Sara typically handles all animals that require oral or intravenous medication.
Small Dog Whisperer
Elizabeth
Elizabeth grew up surrounded by small dogs. As an adult, she has had both dogs and cats. Animals respond to her gentleness, especially those that are shy or nervous (like Mikey in the photo to the right). Her other passions are photography, riding her Vespa or her vintage Honda motorcycle, pottery, swimming, and travel.
Purl
Purl is 12-ish and came to us from Safe Hands Rescue. She is an Australian Shepherd and Husky mix (our best guess, at least). Her different colored eyes attract attention wherever she goes. She is very good at reading other dogs and loves going for walks in the woods. She is an empathic and caring dog.
Cornelius
Cornelius is 8-ish. He was found on the side of the road by our friend’s farm. She thought he was a kitten, but he was actually a malnourished 1-2 year old cat. He is very opinionated, loves Purl and laying on soft blankets, and cuddling with Lamby (his sherpa stuffed lamb).
Sophie
Sophie is 18 and was adopted with her littermate, Sebastian from Gentle Touch Animal Sanctuary. She is the definition of sweet and spends her days between various heated beds and pillows. Having gone deaf, she yells instead of meows.
Edgar
Edgar is 3 and was invited inside by a former neighbor of Elizabeth’s who takes care of a cat colony in St. Paul. He thoroughly enjoys indoor life, thinks butter is the best thing ever, and is the goofiest, clumsiest, lankiest cuddler.
Enid
Enid is 2 and is a very petite lady. She was also invited inside by the woman who rescued Edgar; she believes Enid is the offspring of Edgar and a calico cat she saw him with a lot. Enid has many of Edgar’s mannerisms, including his clumsiness and love of dairy (her favorite is Oatly). She is an independent lady who also takes care of everyone.

Leo
Leo is 3 and is a rat terrier/chihuahua mix. He is our newest family member. He loves to play with stuffies and be chased by his dog friends. He is determined to get the cats to wrestle, and has surprised us all by winning over Enid. Leo never passes up an opportunity to snuggle under blankets.
